Mysterious Teaching

Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

Are you getting tired of this school year?

Let me just say, it is time to move on.  The kids have decided that this is the end and they don't have to do anything.  I have spent the last few days calling parents, writing letters to parents who I can't reach and lecturing on good behavior.  We are trying a new program school wide next year and I think it will work.  It is called Responsible Thinking Process.  I got to see the preview and I am already trying it in my class.  I think it will work great.  I need to practice and make sure I am into the "mode" so I don't go off the deep end and just yell anymore.  I am tired of yelling and being mean all the time.  This puts the responsibility on the child for their own behavior.  I am looking forward to using it.  I wish I had already had the training.
