Mysterious Teaching

Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

It is time to get my brain wrapped around going back to work!

Well, this was a poor excuse for a summer.  It is almost over and I haven't finished painting my bathroom.  I don't even have all the primer on the walls yet.  It has been just one thing after another.  However, it is time to start thinking about school again.  I start in 2 weeks.

Not only do we start, but we have to move into a new building.  I went to check if the district is going to move all of our stuff but they didn't know.  If I have to move it, I won't be ready to teach until Christmas.

I am already planning to be the September grade of the month.  We will do RESPECT and focus on respecting the planet.  We will have the kids study alternative energy and do experiments and even make solar cookers to make their own lunch on.  I have a whole unit on it.  We are going to come up with green ways to live our lives better.  (This from a person who DRIVES 30 miles each way to school with no carpool)

We will concentrate on our facts tests, good grammar, and Arizona History.  I am excited and I can't wait.  I went shopping and bought more books to help me come up with new ideas.  I love teaching.  Every year is a new and exciting experience.  It is never the same.
