Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

The new drive from Hadies!

I live a little over 30 miles from my job.  The county I teach in suddenly decided to re-pave the roads.  It took me an hour and a half to get to work this morning.  I will have to leave my house at 5:30 in the morning to get to work on time now.  They won't be done with the paving until the end of October.  It is awful.  I don't know if I can take it.  I am normally there inside a half an hour.  Now, I just crawl along the highway.  It is packed and congested and busy and I am hating it.

Someone once said that the official plant of Arizona is the organge traffic cone.  They are certainly planted everywhere!  My drive from Glendale to Phoenix used to take fifteen minutes and now it takes forty.  There is construction on fifty-first, forty-third and fifty-ninth, so there are no other routes.  Plus, there is the added construction of light rail - which I rail against!  Is it the same everywhere?

You are right on!  Did you know they grow the orange barrells in Kansas?  And they store them in Oklahoma and New Mexico along the high ways.  I wonder what they grow them for?
