Mysterious Teaching

Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

My Dream Job

My dream job would be beginning school at 9:00 and getting out at 3:00.  They could do specials before I get there and after I go home.  How cool would that be.  Also all assemblies could be before and after too.  I could skip lunch altogether if I could get out even earlier.  I am getting to really dislike the getting up before God thing.  I know I am up before him because the sun is not up when I leave for work.  I always think of that as the time God gets up.

I am also considering having a Reading specialist come into my room for an entire day and watching them teach.  I want to know how I can get 120 minutes of reading into my schedule when I only have 90 minutes of time.  I want to see how they do it.  I want them to teach ALL of the subjects and get it all into one day.  I am having trouble doing it.  They also must have a day when there are a dozen interruptions so I can see how they handle it too and keep teaching.

I am frustrated because I had to re-do my reading schedule again today and there just isn't enough time.  I am going to have to make my reading groups bigger and cut out my DEAR time.  Flexible is my new middle name.
