I am curious why schools are using blogs to post lessons, communicate with teachers on their staff and etc. Wouldn't it be easier and more private to use email? I had to read the note to the 4th grade because I teach fourth grade and I wanted to see what it was about. I really wanted to respond to the blog. I wanted to say...We too are studying the Northeast. I don't know quiet why we are going into such depth but we are. I think we should do a quick study of the regions and then do in-depth on our own state. We are on Chapter 10 in Science, 'Weather,' but we are only on it because the rest of the teacher's guides haven't come in yet. We are missing a lot of stuff still. We started with Chapter 8 several weeks ago when our books finally got here.
It would be fun to respond to those blogs. It would be interesting to hear their responses to my responses. I use email when I send information and questions and etc. to my district. I thought that was what email was for. I would rather be private and not worry about the world seeing what I am doing.
BUT!!! I blog for the fun of it. Not for communication.
