Insights behind the perils of being a teacher

I made a time capsule!

That's right, I made a one-year time capsul for my class for this year.  I am going to take pictures of them the first day of school and have them fill out some questions on their likes and dislikes and we will put it away for the last week of school.  We will do some math and reading to add to the capsule that will show how much we learned during the year.  I am really excited about it.

I have tried to talk the school into doing one but no one was really interested.  I think that is sad.  Does anyone have any ideas about other things I can add to my capsule for the kids?

I love doing this.  When I taught 2nd I had them trace their hands too.  They were so cute at the end of the year comparing how much their hands had grown.
